InfoFlex Modules

Design Management

The Design Management module provides authorised users with the means to develop and modify InfoFlex Clinical Systems. This includes modelling clinical processes, defining data collection rules, defining Data Views, configuring data entry screen layouts and defining document production to support the patient management processes and care pathways. No programming is required at any stage of Design Management.

Clinical designs are incorporated into a Data Domain and Data Views are defined to support the specific clinical functions and clinical specialties modelled.

Access to a number of other modules is provided through the Design Management module. These include: Codelist Manager, Screen Designer, Rules Builder, Report & Document Designer and Query Design Manager.

Module Features

Standard Look and Feel
All elements of the Design Management definition environment have a common look & feel that makes moving across Design Management simple and intuitive.
Domains and Data Views
Domains and Data Views provide the means to design a fully integrated clinical system environment. Common clinical events can be shared between the different clinical specialties: Data Views are used to provide controlled access to the underlying data and rules.
Events Management
Clinical event definitions can be added and modified in the clinical data domain as and when required by authorised users. This allows new specialties and work processes to be added to the existing structures.
Data Items Management
New data items can be added as and when required. A wide range of properties are used to control the type and behaviour of data items.
Data Views Management
Data views provide users access to the underlying data structures. Data Views can be defined that cross specialty boundaries and can include any element from the underlying data model. Data views are designed around specialty and functional requirements.
Validation Rules
Validation rules can be defined that are based on any of the data collected. This allows complex on-line validation with associated alerts to be provided.
Derivation Formulas
Data can be derived from any data element entered into the system. Formulas are defined using the InfoFlex Formula Builder. The formulas can consist of mathematical and logical expressions as well as constants and Data Items values.
Dynamic Data Views
Clinical protocols are further supported through the use of Dynamic Data Views. These views are automatically triggered during the data entry process by data as it is entered. This allows the care pathways to be refined according to the data recorded against a patient.
Document Definition
Documents (letters, reports, summaries, etc.) can be added to the clinical domain structure wherever required. This allows outputs from the system to be produced as and when required during data collection to support clinical and management processes and decision-making.
Screen Layouts
The Screen Designer module allows authorised users to customise the Data View screens to meet the individual requirements of specific functions and users. Alternatively, InfoFlex provides a default standard data entry environment that requires no modification for data entry.
Clinical Alerts
Clinical alerts can be triggered at any stage of the data collection process. Alerts are specific to the Data Views and are defined using the Data Validation Rules module.
Archiving
Data and design components can be archived and un-archived as and when required. Archived elements are only available within the Design Management module.
