InfoFlex Modules

Reports and Documents

The Report and Document Designer provides the tools to define regular reports and patient documents. Reports and documents are based on templates, usually defined using Microsoft Word, that are mapped to the data items and queries defined in the clinical system. Access to reports and documents is granted through Data Views.  Reports are generated using the Reporting module and patient documents are generated in the Data Entry and Work List modules.

Reports and Documents can be defined that meet national returns requirements such as Korner reports as well as local reporting requirements.

Reports can relate to individual patients or summarise data for specific patient groups. A history of all Reports run is saved automatically . Reports can be printed, faxed or emailed as required.

Patient-based Documents can be linked to parts of the patient care pathway. This allows them to be produced as part of the Data Entry processes thereby supporting patient and clinic management. Documents can be printed, faxed or emailed as required.

Module Features

Template Definition
All Reports and Documents are based on templates that are defined using Microsoft Word. Template definition uses a simple syntax that is used to map the elements of the template to data items or queries.
Mapping to Data Items and Queries
The Mapping module is used to map individual elements of the template to data items and queries. Drag and drop functionality is provided to link the template elements to the InfoFlex elements. Mapped elements can be formatted as required.
Batch Generation
Documents and Reports can be generated both automatically as batch processes and on demand.
Report Parameter Prompting
Reports can be defined to prompt the user for entry of report parameters. These can be based on any data recorded in InfoFlex.
Document Properties
Document definitions have a wide range of properties that control their behaviour. These include automatic generation of documents when saving data in Data Entry, automatic printing, automatic emailing, specifying the preferred printer, specifying the number of copies to be printed and whether editing of the Document is allowed.
Context Sensitive Mapping
Advanced functionality in Document definition includes the ability to substitute Data Entry codes with meaningful text. This allows Documents to be more meaningful and easy to read.
